Fernwood School (affiliated to Nagaland Board of School Education) was founded in 1988 by Mrs. K Vizotha,
Managing Director of the school, the then Principal of Mezhür higher Secondary School. It is located at the foot
of hills of Pulie Badze range. The spot where the school stands flourished with lush green ferns. Hence the name Fernwood was coined.
